I've had some pretty bad scars for quite some time now, and I've been having a hard time finding the right products to heal them. I've been the the dermatologist a couple of times and I'm not really happy with the products that he's suggested.
If someone could suggest either a product or a treatment that I could use, that'd be great!
Thank you in advance. What kind of products can I use to get rid of acne scars?
A really good product to reduce the appearance of acne scars and after a couple of months diminish them would be something with Glycolic Acid, which is a gentle peeling agent that gradually %26amp; gentely takes layers of the skin surface speading up the process of new skin sell renewal. Eventually your skin will be left feeling smooth and looking so much healthier. Give this product a try starting with a 12% Glycolic Acid compound, you will be able to find this Ingredient in MD Formulations products and EvenTone.. I recomend you go to somebody who sells MD Formulaitions and ask for some advice and samples to start you off. Just keep in mind Glycolic Acid when you go in and they will be able to direct you to the right product. good luck. What kind of products can I use to get rid of acne scars?
My scars were terrible!
If you want natural, at home stuff, you have got to read this book. I had the same problem, for years. It really pissed me off that I should have been more popular, except for the pimples. I am smart and funny, but they just ate away at my self-esteem. I was determined to get rid of them by hook or by crook.
I tried a whole bunch of things like proactive and others but nothing seemed to work. I tried a few different books and e-books and nothing helped. Then, I read an awesome e-book that will teach you all the home remedies that you will need to get rid of acne permanently. At first I thought it was too expensive, but then I realized that I pay this much like every month for pimple medicine and washes, and this was a one time thing. Best decision I ever made! Not only did it help me stop getting pimples, it also helped clear up my old pimple scars, which were really pissing me off!
You can learn about the book at this link

I tried some books from my dermatologist, but they didn't help me, plus I kept on forgetting to return them to the library. The best thing about the e-book is that I downloaded it right away, and i had the copy forever.
hi i went through the exact situation. i love the skin lightening lotion from proactiv. i have very sensitive skin and i have not had any problems with this product. good luck!!!
hi,
If you have just scars, then chemical peel works the best. u need to repeat it once every 3 weeks. you need to visit to a dermatologist for the same. (dont forget to use a good qlty suncreen lotion to prevent the burn) also use isotretinoin (sortret) gel at bed time. Also if possible do a micro debrasion at home, loreal has a debrasion kit which works very well.
Incase if you have pimples, it is imp to arrest pimples before you treat for scars. Isotretinoin (sortret) capsule can be taken for 3-6 months depending on severity of pimples. (but do not take this tab, incase if you wish to get pregnant - Isotretinoin is harmful to the fetus and therefore should not be used during pregnancy. Women of childbearing age must have two negative pregnancy test results before therapy is started, and a pregnancy test must be conducted during each month of therapy.), but in all do not start any oral medication for anything unless and until u see a dermatologist.
I have done it all myself. Hence hopes that the above serves useful to you.
thats right.. no product would help u with the scar. Concult ur dermatologist for laser treatment. It help.s
There are many cheap and effective home remedies for acne. Tomato slices, turmeric, papaya juices and home made face packs will treat existing pimples and prevent further problems. More remedies at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html
Anything that says that it'll even your skin tone might work. Retinol, soy, vitamin c, and licorice are some ingredients I can think off that work to do this. I use Palmer's Eventone Brightening Facial Mask. Neutrogena makes a foundation for this too. A peel or microdermabrasion at the derm might also work. If the scars are really bad (pitted?), I think a derm can inject them with something to fill them out.
I can totally understand it being hard to find a product that you like. I have seriously sensitive skin and it drives me nuts, but my dermatologist prescribed Retin-A for me. I love it. It was prescribed for acne, but it has helped a lot with scars from acne.
Medirma for scars in the pharmacy department, or Acne Free had a scar treatment cream, in the cosmetics section.
Well u can use proactie cause a lot of people use that to get rid of stuff like that even celebreties use that kind of stuff!!!!!!!
no product can remove scars you can however see a Dermatologist or plastic surgeon for Micro Dermabrasion anf there are different types of laser treatments that can plane the skin down to make them less noticeable. if you are short on the cash contact Dermatologists in your area and find out if any othem are doing studies on new treatments and tell them you are interested in participating if you are a candidate you wont have to pay for the treatment
Micro-dermabrasion...sounds harsh and expensive but there's now simple, safe kits to do it easily in your own home. But scrubs also work just as well if you combine them with an acne toner after you scrub. St. Ives Apricot Scrub works great! I love that stuff! Decide which method's best for you and that should help.
