How long will this last? Also one more thing, am i covered for unprotected sex? I know all the dangers of std's im in a relationship with someone ive known almost half my life so im safe there but will i get pregnant? How long does birth control actually take to start helping with acne?
It will take some time to take effect and start clearing up your acne. And it's true, it will/might get worse before getting better. I've been on the pill for 2.5 years and it's gotten so much better in the past year. It varies for everyone.

As for sex, the pill is not 100% effect and yes you can still get pregnant while taking the pill. Condoms lessen that chance but they, too, are not always effective. How long does birth control actually take to start helping with acne?
two to three months.
I'm not sure, but I do know you have to be on it for at least 7 consecutive days before it is active in your system. Good Luck!
i dont know about the acne part, but most bc pills have a 95% chance of working, so you are not totally protected. you could use a spermicidal foam, too. then you would be almost guaranteed.
i've never actually tried it, but it is my understanding that it gets worse before it gets better, you may still have another month, i'm not sure. As for sex, yeah, it does greatly reduce the risk of pregnancy, but it isn't 100% safe, so you'd be better off with him using a condom too.
