Is Is it normal to break out badly after starting to use acne meds?

I haven't had an acne problem in awhile but i noticed my black heads where pretty bad. so i bought the Clean and clear black head scrub pads and the face wash. and have been using it recently along with my usual clearasil cleaning pads. but i alternate the cleaning pads so i don't irritate my skin to bad. one day i use clean and clear the next clearasil. but i broke out pretty horrible overnight. and idk if that's normal. any tips or suggestions? Is Is it normal to break out badly after starting to use acne meds?
Yes that's common, all the bacteria has been blocked by clogged pores but keep going with your cleansing routine it'll clear up soon and you'll have a brighter and smoother complexion.... just suffer through the bad stuff for a while! Exfoliate and moisturize there's no quick fix to perfect skinIs Is it normal to break out badly after starting to use acne meds?
I鈥檓 a beauty therapist and one of the first things I learnt was that products that contain alcohol and bleach are the worst products for your skin. They both dry out your skin which makes your skin freak out and respond in turn by making more oil; more oil 鈥?more pimples. Also having dry skin can make you have more wrinkles in the future. both Clearisil and Clean and Clear's main ingredients are both alcohol and bleach; so for your skins sake stay away from it. If you are looking for a product for oil skin try dermal clay cleanser from dermalogica or if you have ACNE then use clearing skin wash. Out of all the products that I have used in different salons dermalogica is defiantly the best for your skin type. You can buy a travel size pack of the range so you can really see if it suits you with out spending too much. You can buy it only at a beauty salon or on eBay. Hope this helps ;-)
Yep. It's typical. Your skin will usually get worse for two weeks, then start to improve. But any OTC product will only work temporarily. Your skin will become immune after awhile. The dermatologist is the only one who had meds that could clear my skin.
yes it's very normal. it has happened to me many times but as time goes on using the same medication it begins to work. but i suggest you don't use the same products for a long period of time because your skin might become immune to it and begin to stop working.
Maybe you should incorporate benzoyl peroxide in your routine and take out one of those products out...it seems you're only using salicylic acid. Or i maybe wrong...but seriously benzoyl peroxide is the acne bacteria killer so use it in 2.5%.

Good luck Gangsta.
