I hope this helps. =)

What are good ways for treating acne?

I've used proactiv, skinID, and many other treatments. My acne just keeps coming back, and it's really bad. I'm using skinID right now and its not even working well. My skin's rather untoned and I break out a lot. I've used witch hazel also to tone my skin and it kind of sucks. Any acne treatments I should buy that you recommend, treatments that make my skin look healthier and more radiant, or just tips on how to prevent acne from spreading and getting worse? I use foundation on a daily basis. What are good ways for treating acne?
The first step to conquer your acne is by means of trying natural acne solutions. Include the following in your considerations:

1. Supplements and Vitamins. Food supplements and some forms of vitamins are useful for treating acne and to your overall body health.

2. Proper Diet. This is helpful in eradicating sugar that develops fats which are concealed by your sebaceous glands.

3. Herbal Treatment. Herbs are the most common ingredients used in acne treatment products that are commercially sold. What are good ways for treating acne?
the more make-up you use the more you break out and then you use even more make-up to cover the break out... so if i were you get something natural... like bare minerals...or just don't put on face make-up unless you have to.. and when you wash your face.. get a washcloth and get it as hot as you can stand and press it on your face... do this like 2 to 3 times.. this will open up your pores... then wash your face with like a regular bar of soap.. just to get rid of the make-up... then you use a face wash that has little beads in it.(like the sandy stuff).. that will get rid of all the dead skin... it works for me... and i have no pimples...
Hi,

I found one good blog on how to cure pimples and acne at home

Hi

There are some specific methods that can help you to get rid of your acne.

check these helpful methods that helped me to cure my acne:

Water

Drink plenty of water every day. Aim to drink at least two liters of still mineral water. If the skin becomes dehydrated, dead skin cells are not effectively shed, which can lead to blocked pores and further acne.

Sunshine and fresh air

Sunshine stimulates the creation of vitamin D in the body - an essential vitamin for healthy skin. A little bit of fresh air and sunshine every day will also reduce the stress and increase oxygen to your skin. Even when it's overcast, the sun's rays reach us, so it's very good to take a light walk outside every day.

Reduce your intake of sugar and refined carbohydrates

Last research pointing the finger at diet - eating refined carbohydrates (white bread, pasta, rice, flour etc) and sugar leads to a surge in insulin and an insulin-like growth factor called IGF-1. This in turn leads to an excess of male hormones, which encourage the skin to excrete large amounts of sebum. This grease-like substance encourages the growth of bacteria responsible for acne.

Refined carbs/sugar = more insulin = more hormones = more sebum (oil) = more bacteria = more acne

The bed sheets

Keep the bed sheets clean. Wash your pillow case on a regular schedule to reduce the transfer of your natural body oils.

Wash your face

Wash your face just one time a day. Don't wash too many times , because that will cause only more production of oil on your skin. another option is to use very gentle cleansers for normal skin that don't dehydrate the skin and wash twice a day.

Anyhow, don't go out and buy those magical acne free in 24 hours products that you can find anywhere online, they just don't work and you will spend your money for nothing.

Why not? Well, because it takes time to cure acne and you will need at least one week to see any noticeable results. There is absolutely no way to cure your acne in 24 hours.

If you really want to cure your acne there are two recommended methods that should combined together (if you can afford it) for best results.

Firstly and more important in my opinion, you must learn how you should fix the internal problem that's causing your acne, not just masking the symptoms or getting relief.

There are only few good Ebooks and acne cure programs that can teach you exactly how to cure your acne from the inside.

Where medicine has failed them the authors have done their own research and found a way to overcome acne. In their programs they share their valuable knowledge with other acne sufferers. Anyhow, be very careful because many of them are pure crap with little value.

You can learn about the fasest system and one of the most popular guides that can help you to get rid of your acne from the inside here:

http://www.squidoo.com/Acne-Free-In-3-Da鈥?/a>

The second thing that you need to do is to get good acne skin product that will be suitable for your skin.

There are many acne skin care products available in the market right now and it's not easy to choose the product that will give you the best results.

When choosing your product make sure to check that you get at least 2 months full guarantee. Some of the big names in the industry are:

ClearPores, Acuzine, Acnezine, Proactiv, Vilante and some others.

Don't give up, acne is something that can be cure, good luck...
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

What is the best thing to do when someone has chest and back acne?

My friend is really tired of not being able to take his shirt off when he goes swimming because of his acne. I want to help him but i juss dont know what to do.What is the best thing to do when someone has chest and back acne?
He needs to make an appointment to see a dermatologist. There are several prescription medications that can help. It's well worth the cost of a doctor's visit. Proper treatment can cure the acne and prevent scarring. Urge him to do so ASAP.What is the best thing to do when someone has chest and back acne?
Tell him to go to CVS, buy one of the acne control products there (Apricot Scrub, Neutrogena Clean and Clear, etc) and use it wherever he has acne every time he showers. Then tell him NOT TO TOUCH IT under any circumstances. Oils from your fingers will only rub off and make it worse. Everytime the product he uses runs out, I suggest he buys a different product so that his skin doesn't develop a tolerance to the product he buys. If he has already tried this and it doesn't work, tell him to go to the dermatologist to get something to dry out his skin(which I assume is very oily).
I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn鈥檛 use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured鈥f we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don鈥檛 want us to know.

There is a great website: http://acnehomesolution.com

that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.
Hello bebe

My nephews have this acne problem they have to use a kind of stridex pad to dry them up. It needs to be applied three times a day i believe. But, he should really speak to his doctor if he has not. He could try the stridex first if he wants but, if it does not dry them out and start to clear up then see the doctor definately. Hope this helps you.

Tina
Every medicine is different, just as every person is different. That's why my answer is to go to a dermatologist. Don't waste a bunch of money trying different over-the-counter meds. Use that money to see doctor who knows what he's talking about. I went to a dermatologist a few years ago, and he turned my life around.
Soak cotton wool in mint juice, and apply every day. Mix cinnamon powder with lime juice to make a fine paste, Apply on pimples. Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.

What is the best foundation for acne prone, and oily skin?

I need a foundation that won't break me out and looks natural, also something that would give great coverage!

Thanks! (:What is the best foundation for acne prone, and oily skin?
I totally disagree with the Bare Minerals suggestion. Bare Minerals is not the best for oily skin, especially in the summer.

What I would suggest is Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet. Yes, it is a little more expensive but it is so worth it. It is water resistant, has great coverage, mattifying, looks natural, and does not clog pores. I just wore it yesterday night and fell in love with it. I usually use Bare Minerals but decided to try a different foundation at Sephora since I was going partying that nice. I danced in the hot club for 4 hours and I did not look like an oil slick as I usually would have.

With my Bare Minerals, when I am outside, if I am out too long in the sun, I look very oily within 1 hour. And what's worse is that it tends to change color because of the oil and I not only looking oily, but I look orange and very dark.

Now, don't get me wrong. Bare Minerals works great for me in the winter time and lasts a long time. I am on month 6 and am still not finished with the bottle (though I won't use it again until fall or winter).

However, for oily, acne-prone skin in the summer, I would not recommend Bare Minerals.

Also, another suggestion, use an oil mattifier. I use an oil mattifier under my makeup and it does a great job of making my face less oily so I do not have to touch up and blot as much. What is the best foundation for acne prone, and oily skin?
Actually um i think that and foundation with salicylic acid in it would help :) Report Abuse

i love maybelline pure makeup foundation

its in a little blue tube. its 50% water so it goes on really smooth and light and won't clog pores.
I would say Sheer Cover its amazing and does wonders without giving it that cakey feel. And its a mineral so it won't break out your skin.
bare minerals totally i use it and it is awesome. it fits ur description, and more! hope i helped!! =]
i use the covergirl whipped foundation, it works great for me and i get acne
I swear by bare minerals its the best!

How can i get rid of acne redness fast?

i have a party to go to at 1:00 et

i have a couple spot pimples that are on their last leg but are still red

can i do something to get rid of the redness

not just temporarily though

any help?

10 points? How can i get rid of acne redness fast?
Well,to overcome redness on the face, the best thing you could do is get a green tea teabag and by using the extract of the green tea, make a thick paste with it and apply the paste on your whole face.Let it on your face for 10 to 15 minutes and rinse them off.You could also apply witch hazel on your face after since it works as an astringent to sooth your face redness.

Plus, you could also try to drink chamomile extract and combined it with rosemary extract since both also works best as soothing agent.Choose either way that you think suits you.Hope I helped and enjoy your party(:How can i get rid of acne redness fast?
i always use hot water and salt
Erm...u hab to wait for years or u just need to wash ur face after go out to cool down urself.

I'm 27 years old and I've had severe, invariable acne for almost 14 years in counting. I've been to countless dermatologist's, nutritionist's and Physician's and gone through an unbelievable amount of unsuccessful acne medications. Including Acctuane Which is supposedly the Gold standard for acne treatment with something like a 97 percent success rate--but it didn't do a thing for me.

Sorry to hear that Accutane didn't work for you. Did it have any effect on you at all? If it did you could try a second course but I could understand if you don't really want to do that. Have you ever gotten your allergies tested? It's possible that something you're consuming is giving you an allergic reaction in the form of acne. Have you tried any hormonal treatments? I've heard good things about Spironolactone; you could also try birth control pills. I hope you can find something that works for you. What would you recommend for untreatable Acne after the Failure of Accutane?

How can I prevent pimples and acne?

I am a 15 yr old girl. I tend to get frequent breakouts. The come in the form of pimples, acne or boils. My skin is rather oily. Is there anything that I can do to prevent this? Please advice. How can I prevent pimples and acne?
Contrary to what you may have heard, acne is not caused by dirty skin, eating chocolate, or drinking lots of soda. Acne is caused by overactive oil glands in the skin and an accumulation of oil, dead skin cells, and bacteria, which leads to inflammation in pores. Oil glands become stimulated when hormones become active during puberty, which is why people are likely to get acne in their teens. Because the tendency to develop acne is partly genetic, if other people in your family had (or have) acne, you may be more likely to develop it too.

Although there is no surefire way to prevent acne, there are several ways to help reduce the number and severity of your breakouts:

    * Washing your skin is essential (it helps remove excess surface oils and dead skin cells that can clog your pores), but washing too much can actually cause damage by overdrying your skin or irritating existing acne.

    * Remember to wash after exercising because sweat can clog your pores and make your acne worse. If you work around greasy food or oil or if you've been sweating from heat or because you've been working hard, wash your face and other acne-prone areas as soon as possible.

    * If you use skin products, such as lotions or makeup, look for ones that are noncomedogenic or nonacnegenic, which means that they don't clog pores.

    * If you can't live without your hair spray or styling gel, be sure to keep them away from your face as much as possible. Many hair products contain oils that can make acne worse.

    * If you get acne on areas such as your chest or back, avoid wearing tight clothes, which can rub and cause irritation.

    Treatments

For some people, over-the-counter (OTC) products work to help clear up acne. It may take some time to find one that works best for you — some may not do the trick and others may cause irritation. OTC acne products come in different strengths. The most popular OTC acne-fighting ingredient is benzoyl peroxide. Another ingredient, salicylic acid, can help to dry up pimples.

If you find over-the-counter products aren't working for you, it's best to seek a doctor's advice. A doctor can prescribe special gels or creams, pills, or a combination of both. It may feel a bit awkward or embarrassing to talk about your acne with someone, especially a stranger, but your doctor is trained to help get your skin looking its best.

What about pimples you already have? It's tempting, but popping or squeezing a pimple usually won't get rid of the problem. Squeezing can actually push infected material and pus further into the skin, which can lead to more swelling and redness (not what you want before a big date!), and even scarring, which can be permanent.

If you are taking a prescription acne medication, finish your entire prescription even if your skin clears up, unless your dermatologist says you can stop. If you stop too early, there's a chance your skin could break out all over again.

Eating nutritious foods can help keep you healthy of course, and your skin will benefit from getting enough vitamins and minerals. But the bottom line is that you don't need to be obsessive about what you eat or how often you wash your face to control acne. If you don't find an OTC product that works for you, talk to your doctor or a dermatologist for some advice on living through the acne years...How can I prevent pimples and acne?
There are many things that can cause this. The BEST thing to do is see a dermatologist. If you can't do that - try to be as gentle to your skin as possible. Clean with a GENTLE fragrance-free cleanser like Cetaphil and use benzoyl peroxide, sparingly just on the active zits. If you can see a regular doctor, they may be able to prescribe you a topical antibiotic gel. That worked really well for me when I had acne all over my neck and shoulders.

Do not exfoliate, scrub, rub or pick your skin. You will just make it worse. Do not pop your pimples, you will just infect them. If necessary, you can use a hot compress on the more nasty ones.

    Hope that helps, good luck.
Wash your face twice a day. Try to keep your hands off your face so not to transfer more oil to your face. I would use noxzema for everyday. But try Neutragena anti-acne wash for when you are in the middle of a bad break out. But the Neutragena can be harsh so only use that before bed. A good homemade mask is egg believe it or not. Just whip it up in a bowl and apply to face. (Keep away from your eyes and lips and nostrils don't want uncooked egg in these places!) It will dry and get really tight. What that is doing is tighting you skin and pulling impurities from your pores. When it is completely dry which you will know it b/c you will barely be able to move your face. Wash it off with one of your facial cleansers.

It is also important not to wear too much foundation or powder because you will continue to clog your pores and never be able to get rid of the acne. If you are wearing any makeup at all wash it off before you go to bed...That is really important for good skin.

And I can not stress this enough...DRINK A TON OF WATER, AND I MEAN A LOT! Don't mean to yell but it really really helps. Even if your break outs are hormonal; which they very well could be at your age, it will help. It also helps to minimize that oily feeling. Also watch the rest of your diet. Try to avoid greasy foods (you are what you eat).
everybody has different skin- but this was my experience- i tried every cream from the doc., antibiotics, accutane, proactive, and tons of ';made at home'; natural masks and stuff. I had basically given up when someone told me to try ';tea tree soap'; or shae butter soap. I was at my wits end but was willing to try- couldn't find either one of them (at Wal-Mart they are on the ethnic aisle- each bar of soap was like less than $2.... anyways I was using both but now I just use the tea tree bar of soap in the AM and PM. I'm like you with really oily skin and have battled acne since I was a teenager- just try this before spending tons of money on treatments- it may or may not work for you but if it doesn't it's just $2 ya know? It does have a tendency to kind of tighten me up- almost like dry skin but not flaky- so I just use an oil free non-comedogenic moisturizer in the AM after I wash (I use Purpose) and it's all better- I usually leave it alone at night (the tightness I mean) and it's gone within the hour. Be sure to use makeup that is non-comedogenic (won't clog pores) and oil free whenever possible! good luck and I hope this (or whatever you try) works for you!!! (by the way this took about a week to start working and more like 3 to REALLY get a grip on things- I still get a little something here and there but no more nodular acne or those paintful boils you spoke of!)
My brother went through the same thing and tried all kinds of creams, washes and even pills from the Dr. The thing that worked the best for him was Proactive. You can buy it on the internet or even the mall. They have vending machines for it at the malls here in Dallas. I couldn't believe how well it worked. Now my brother is 26 and getting married in 6 weeks and he and his fiancee are both using it just to make sure they don't have any problems on their ';big day'; Good luck and I really hope it helps
ok i swear to you this work i use to have mild breakouts, and i too also have oily skin ive tried 1000 things to prevent and stop acne proactiv worked ok at first but made my skin to dry and irritated, red, murad made my skin oily and the gel you put on felt grosss i dont wear any foundation on my skin.. what i do is i use mary kay blemish control toner 3 for oily skin and deep cleanser formula 3 i dont use the lotion though because it can make my face breakout only use it when your skin feels really dry was your face 2 xs a day with that and drink lots of water to cleanse your system, also if you would like faster results of clearing there is a cream called dermatovate you can not buy in the us but you can buy it online but if you know anyone out of the states that travels and can get it for you its alot cheaper like 7 dollars. that even helps with redness scarring, dryness it can also be used for people with psoraisis and other skin conditions.. you can even check out my myspace and see that my skin has gotten much better with the eamil of gameh626@aol.com
Try this routine it helped me a lot!!!

Try this simple remedy. Wash your face twice a day in warm salty water. This should leave your face oil free without aggravating the pimples like soap. The secret of keeping the skin clear is to keep it oil-free and clean. More such solutions at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/
Wash your face with soap and water everyday and when you get a pimple don't play with it.

Besides,it's very natural to have pimples and oily skin at 15.
I know a lot of people are against it but I suggest going to a dermatologist and asking him/her to put you on accutane. Accutane worked wonders for me and many friends.
i had the same problem. i bought proactiv and it worked. then i used cover girl in my face to hide my blemishes and reduce the oiliness in my face, and again it worked. hope this helps....
rubbing alcohol is good . Clean your face with it at least in the morning and when you sweat and before you go to bed . Do not add lotions on your face that causes build up of dirt .
wash your face and buy stuff that says oil free %26amp; drink plenty of water and get plenty of sleep and make sure you exercise.

you will be blemish/acne free [:
Try staying hydrated and washing your face regularly. Otherwise, see a certified dermatologist.
Wash your face a lot, and get rough textured pads with alcohol in them. They are made specially to clean your pores.
Dont wear alot of oily makeup, ( make sure to take it off if you do )
Keep hydrated and avoid oily foods. Eat lots of leafy greens and you'll be good to go!
wash your face more with dove soap.
first don't use any oily oilment and clean you face 3 times in a day then rough your towel
    wash your face.
proactive solution.....get your mom to buy it...i live in a third world country and know that..come on!!

A raw potato is cheap and brilliant acne natural cure, especially for whiteheads. The vitamin C makes your skin glow, and alkaline in the potato kills the bacteria on your face. The potato also has an exfoliating effect helping you to get rid of dead skin cells. Papaya fruit produces similar effect; you should also use it raw. (Make sure the potato isn't genetically modified!)

A wash of milk with lime is a great treatment for blackheads. First bring a glass of milk to a gentle boil, and then add juice from half a lime. When the milk cools down it makes a great face wash. You can store it in the fridge for a couple days. (Make sure the milk doesn't come from cattle that have been treated with rBGH)

    And try this:

    Clear Skin Remedy

    Ingredients:

Besan which is also known as (Gram Flour)

    Fresh lemon juice

    Yogurt

    Turmeric powder (optional)

    Method:

Add 1-2 table spoons of gram flour in a small bowl or plate, then add 1-2 teaspoons of dairy yogurt, give it a mix until it creates a good thick paste, when paste is made add 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice, also add just a pinch of turmeric powder mix all together and apply on whole face. Leave to work and dry for 15-20 minutes, after then wash of smoothly by tapping some water on face and rubbing in a circular motion from there completely wash the face. Once washed tap dry with towel.

Stay away from any products that contain these ingredients (ProActiv %26amp; Neutrogena have several of them):

    * Mineral Oil, Paraffin %26amp; Petrolatum – Petroleum products coat the skin like plastic, clogging pores and creating a build-up of toxins, which in turn accumulate and can lead to dermatological issues, like slowing cellular development, which can cause you to show earlier signs of aging. Suspected cause of cancer %26amp; Disruptive of hormonal activity.

    * PARABENS – Such as methyl- propyl- butyl- %26amp; ethyl- parabens: Widely used as preservatives in the cosmetic industry (including moisturizers). An estimated 13,200 cosmetic and skin care products contain parabens. Studies implicate their connection with cancer. They have hormone-disrupting qualities – mimicking estrogen – and interfere with the body’s endocrine system.

    * Propylene Glycol – Used as a moisturizer in cosmetics and as a carrier in fragrance oils. Shown to cause dermatitis, kidney or liver abnormalities, may inhibit skin cell growth, and is a skin irritant and sensitizer.

    * ALCOHOLS – Such as Isopropyl Alcohol, SD Alcohol 40, Ethyl Alcohol: Alcohols dissolve the body’s natural moisturizers and strip the skin of its protection, leaving it vulnerable to infection. Alcohols destroy skin’s pH balance, and since they absorb water, they speed up wrinkling.

    * Sodium laurel or lauryl sulfate (SLS), also known as sodium laureth sulfate (SLES) – Found in car washes, engine degreasers, garage floor cleaners… and in OVER 90% of personal care products! SLS breaks down the skin’s moisture barrier, easily penetrates the skin, and allows other chemicals to easily penetrate. Combined with other chemicals, SLS becomes a “nitrosamine”, a potent class of carcinogen. It can also cause hair loss. SLES is sometimes disguised with the labeling “comes from coconut” or “coconut-derived'; - and is found in many popular body washes and toothpastes!

    * Toluene – Poison! Danger! Harmful or fatal if swallowed! Harmful if inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Made from petroleum or coal tar, and found in most synthetic fragrances. Chronic exposure linked to anemia, lowered blood cell count, liver or kidney damage, and may affect a developing fetus. Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) contains toluene. Other names may include benzoic and benzyl.

    * WAXES – Such as Paraffin, Candelilla Wax, Carnuba Wax: Waxes are widely used in cleansing creams, eye creams, and moisturizers. Waxes clog pores, creating blackheads and whiteheads. They also smother the skin, which over time creates an enlarged pore problem.

    * FD%26amp;C – When this abbreviation precedes the name of a color, it means that the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has certified it as safe for use in drugs and cosmetics, but not food. D%26amp;C colors are usually synthetic, coal tar colors. They’re toxic and should be avoided when at all possible.

    * PHTHALATES – These chemicals rarely find their way onto an ingredients list, but they are present in many health and beauty products just the same. Wherever you see “perfume” or “fragrance,” phthalates are present, because they are used to preserve these synthetic scents. Recent studies have shown that phthalates may be mutagenic, carcinogenic, and adversely affect male sperm, that they increase levels of testosterone and estrogen in humans, and are central to breast cancer risk. They are an ingredient in nail polish and other lacquers, and in soft plastics (e.g., infant chew toys).

    * Lanolin – A yellow, semi-solid, fatty secretion from sheep’s wool is widely used in skin and beauty care products. It can cause an allergic reaction in some people, as well as enlarged pores.

    * Acetone – Used in nail polish and nail polish removers, this colorless, volatile liquid is often used in astringents, fresheners, or clarifying lotions. It is extremely toxic and will dehydrate the skin, while speeding up the aging process.

    * Acrylamide – Found in many hand and face creams. Linked to mammary tumors in lab research.

    * Phenol carbolic acid – Found in many lotions and skin creams. Can cause circulatory collapse, paralysis, convulsions, coma and even death from respiratory failure.

    * Dioxane – Found in compounds known as PEG, Polysorbates, Laureth, ethoxylated alcohols. Common in a wide range of personal care products. The compounds are usually contaminated with high concentrations of highly volatile 1,4-dioxane, easily absorbed through the skin. Dioxane’s carcinogenicity was first reported in 1965 and later confirmed in studies including one from the National Cancer Institute in 1978. Nasal passages and liver are the most vulnerable. Dioxane is easily removed during the manufacturing process by “vacuum stripping”. Warning: It is a synthetic derivative of coconut. Watch for hidden language on labels, such as “comes from coconut”.

IF SO, you should throw them away IMMEDIATELY and Tell ALL your friends and family!!! (Extra-virgin olive and/or coconut oils are great alternative moisturizers, and they contain natural sunscreens, until you find something else without these toxins) Check ALL the products you use on your BABY, too for these!!!

Hope this helps!!! Good Luck and Congrats on your newborn!!!!!

What would you recommend to remove acne scars and dents?

Last summer I had a bad acne flare up. I took accutane and it caused my acne to worsen the worst its ever been. It caused me to develops little indents on my face. But they aren't too deep, the dents are on the sides of my face. I'm going to go to my dermatologist but I want outside advice before I make my choice on what to do. My acne is under control right now, its been for months. What would you recommend to me? I want a normal looking face again. I'm assuming girls find it unattractive. What would you recommend to remove acne scars and dents?
Chemical peels by a dermatologist can help as can fractal laser treatments; less helpful is the microdermabrasion. All these work by dissolving off the top layers of skin so your skin is much smoother. These are much more permanent than other treatments. What would you recommend to remove acne scars and dents?
Hi there....I took Accutane myself 15 years ago, and it worked wonders...If you're just recently done taking it, give it some time-it's pretty rare that you would have to do a 2nd course of treatment (I have a background in dermatology). So, in the meantime, your intrinsic indentations are what I call ';hot spots'; and will probably flare up from time to time. To diminish the appearance, I like ';Bio Oil';-you can get it @ CVS. Otherwise, Tirasil (sp?) was mentioned on the TYRA show and works wonders, apparently. Good luck with your new skin!
According reasearch many anti-acne products are known to worsen rosacea symptoms. Medical experts strongly urge rosacea sufferers to stop using these products.

I used to have moderate acne problems, but my dermotologist and I got it totally under control, but now i have a few ance scars.

Its a bit pricey but so worth it, you have to give it ago.How do i get rid of acne scarring?
Proactive is the best because it gets rid of them.. and it keeps them from coming back

    THIS WORKS FAST %26amp; CHEAP!!!

I used Tetracyclin, Proactive, Retina A and had many expensive facials with less than good results.

This has worked for me and many many other happy people.

Go to pharm.,Drug store, or Walmart, buy ';PURPOSE'; bar of soap - Blue box - Made by Johnson %26amp; Johnson - wash your face with this

2-3x's per day. Also pick up a LOW strength Benzoyl-peroxide cream, apply the cream by dabbing

to the individual blemishes.... DONT rub it in works using a oxidation/reduction reaction..It will unclog

dry it out and bring it to a head...DONT over use this or put anywhere else on your face. It will cause drying and make you look worse.

Salicylates such as found in regular asprin among other products work very similar but also remove layers of skin...

other over the counter creams with this product will dry out pimples but maybe too hash and cause surrounding skin trauma..

I have seen many people recommending crushing asprin and making a paste which probably will dry out the blemish but again

pretty strong and probably will cause more tissue damage and bigger scars as an anti inflammatory

probably would take the reddness out... again pretty harsh for sensative skin.

Also, If need which probably will for moisture ASK FOR ';NUTRADERM lotion'; - the orginal not the new stuff, this works

great and wont clog pores or leave a residue on your skin...Any lotion that is completely oil free and hypoallergic should

work but again I recommend Nutraderm. I have heard from people online that ';Purpose'; also makes a lotion that is good, Nutragena, and Nivea

make good products also. I recommend Nutraderm from experience and my dematologist.

';Purpose Bar'; %26amp; ';Nutraderm'; are oil free and hypoallergic they contain no perfumes and are great for both men and women.

I have also heard great reports of this soap helping improve skin tone. Some people recommend the ';Purpose luqid soap'; saying

that the bar did dry out their skin some. The rational behind using the bar is that there are no ingredients in it that will clog pores, and

according to dermatologists they recommend the Bar. I have also heard good responses from ';cetaphil soap';. These products are safe for all skin colors and tones. I highly discourage use

of Proactive and other harsh chemicals for people with some natural color in their face due to the bleaching and drying effect it has

    shown in many many people.

Additonal TIPS: acne, pimples, etc are frequently cause by a bacteria or hormone issues that cause clogging of pores.

DONT PICK POP POKE (your hands are the dirtiest part of your body) and will cause: infections, spreading of germs, more breakouts and scarring

DONT EVER listen to people online who tell you to scrub your sensative skin or use harsh chemicals

such as: Lemon juice, vinagar, alcohol, etc... DONT EVER use that APRICOT CRAP!!! DONT USE

PROACTIVE- this is expensive and harsh it may kill the bacteria cause also Benzoyl based wash but

will irritate skin and cause bleaching of face and neck.... Other similar treatments may work.. also

things such as Accutane but have SERIOUS side effects such as Major Depression, %26amp; birth defects in unborn children, among others

If you wear make up make sure it is oil free, %26amp; hypoallergic...Eating healthy...Drinking plenty of water.. changing pillow cases freq.

etc ...avoiding dirty sports equp. such as helmets...can not hurt...Acne/pimples again are caused by pores/hair follicles becoming plugged

up, this plugging then causes an inflammatory reaction - reddness and infection (pimple)..black head is dirt trapped in pore, while a white

head is the same thing you just dont see the dirt instead you see white pus (lymphocytes that accumulate in the area to fight the infection)

It has been shown in many studies this most often not caused by what you eat (chocolate etc... or how clean you are) but most often by either excess oils plugging pores or a bacteria

on the skins surface. - Proactive works in some people because it is a strong Benzoyl peroxide based washed but is most freq. to strong

for people with sensative skin - this is why alot of people get excessive drying and flaking, rashes, bleaching or breakouts from the product.

Retina-A does decrease the bacterial growth on your face but also removes dead/living skin, this can work well in some individuals and

has been shown to reduce wrinkles and scars but again I feel this is pretty harsh on sensative skin prone to breakouts. If you choose

Retina-A never use this product during the day only at night due to the sensativity it will give you to the sun. You must also get a perscription

for this product and I really don't believe it is worth the damage it does to your skin. In some rare cases for very deep/large boils and cyst types

of pimples oral antibiotics maybe needed but I would first recommend trying ';purpose'; and a low dose ';benzoyl-peroxide cream'; along with a good

oil free moisturizer ';Nutraderm... etc'; this does work well.

THIS WORKS FAST AND CHEAP!!! I no longer get expensive facials, take oral antibiotics, or even NEED makeup... I am very happy - Have

very good skin... and have many many other happy friends... THANKS again to my WONDERFUL

DERMATOLOGIST... TRY THIS!! GOOD LUCK.... PS. ';PURPOSE'; costs about $3 ----------------------------------------鈥?br>

----PSSS---sorry so long I have to keep adding more information to this to address common questions that always being asked....

What is a good, but not to expensive way to get rid of acne scars?

I am 26 and have a lot of acne scars around my mouth. Now that my acne is under control somewhat, what is a good way to get rid of the scars? And what is a good foundation to cover them in the mean time? What is a good, but not to expensive way to get rid of acne scars?
The best way-but not cheapest way to get rid of acne scars is microdermabrasion. Its sort of a machine that vaccums out all the dead skin cells from your face, and it gets rid of acne scars. Although, Microdermabrasion doesn't get rid of the scars permanently, just for a limited time, unless you keep getting it done constantly.

One treatment costs about 100 to 250 dollars.

Good luck! What is a good, but not to expensive way to get rid of acne scars?
You can just use a regular scar healing medicine like a cream or gel.
DONT use foundation it will clog pores and cause breakouts

    try vaseline cocoa butter lotion
lemon/lime juice bleaches out the scars.

Has anyone with mild to moderate acne used minus 417 dead sea cosmetics? If so, how well did they work?

Did it cause you to break out at first? How long did it take and what did you use?Has anyone with mild to moderate acne used minus 417 dead sea cosmetics? If so, how well did they work?
    Hi,

I used to have really bad acne right from my teenage years . It was pretty embarassing to go to college with my acne patched face and I was desperate to get rid of it somehow. I took plenty of efforts to keep my face clean all the time and also ate nutritious food and drank lots of water. None of it helped though. I then recently read an article about a lady who got rid of her acne completely using a particular acne product. I tried it and it worked really well. Within 4 weeks my acne was gone completely. Really good stuff. Just thought I would share this with everyone. You can read more about the lady鈥檚 article at the link below.

If i keep picking at my acne and it leaves marks behind, will the marks be permenant?

I don't want marks that look like craters on my face. Will the little sores and scabs ever clear up, are they repairable? I'm going to go see a dermotologist about it, but in the meanwhile, i'm concerned that the redmarks on my face that congealed are beyond acne cream and any other remedies. If i keep picking at my acne and it leaves marks behind, will the marks be permenant?
yes, they can and may scar. Use vitamin E oil......If i keep picking at my acne and it leaves marks behind, will the marks be permenant?
You can scar your face permanently and badly when you have acne and you pic at it. You know those people you see with skin that looks like an orange peel? That is from very bad acne when they were young and picking at it worsens it dramatically. It's good that you're seeing a dermatologist. Good luck clearing it up. :)
    Yes.
STOP PICKING, YOU WILL HAVE CRATERS IF YOU KEEP PICKING
Yes the scars are permanent. They can be reduced by dermabrasion and other treatments, but the best policy is to not pick on them at all.
Unfortunately, most of the present scabs and sores will leave permanent scars. Leaving them strictly alone and keeping your hands off them will help to minimize a lot of the scarring.
yes quit picking at them its ok to get the puss out but let it dry up as soon as possible or it will scar u 4 life
Yes, you will end up looking like the surface of the moon

What is the best type of acne treatment for me?

Since about 8th grade I have a lot of pimples and blackheads. When ever I get my period I get at least 2 a night. I have tried neutragena but it didn't help. What should I try now? What is the best type of acne treatment for me?
My suggestion wont get rid of it completely but it will definitely help. Get on a multivitamin daily routine. I started one 3 weeks ago and it has helped alot. Here is some stuff i found online:

Vitamin A - Strengthens the protective tissue of the skin and prevents acne by reducing sebum production. Acts as powerful antioxidant to flush out free radicals and toxins from your body which improves wrinkling and fine lines.

NOTE: Vitamin A taken at greater doses than the recommended daily allowance should only be done under qualified supervision, and should not be done by pregnant women.

Vitamin B6 - Controls premenstrual acne outbreaks due to hormonal imbalances. By metabolizing fats and fatty acids, vitamin B6 balances oil production in the skin.

Vitamin B5 - A clinical trial using vitamin B5 for acne (pantothenic acid) was successful. People with acne were given 2.5 grams of pantothenic acid four times a day, which is a lot! With moderate acne, near-complete relief was seen within two months. Cream containing 20% pantothenic acid vitamin for acne was also used in this trial.

Zinc - Clinical studies have shown that zinc supplements, as well as a vitamin for acne, also reduce the severity of acne. In one study, zinc for acne was found to be as effective as oral antibiotic therapy. People with acne should take 30 mg of zinc two or three times per day for a few months, then 30 mg per day thereafter. It may take up to twelve weeks before any improvement is seen.

Selenium - An antioxidant trace mineral that plays an important role in controlling inflammation associated with acne.

Chromium - Known to enhance insulin sensitivity, which, according to Murray and Pizzorno, has been reported in an uncontrolled study to induce rapid improvement of acne patients.

Essential fatty acids - These are strongly recommended for acne - 1 tablespoon of flaxseed oil, supplying the omega 3 fatty acids, (or the equivalent in grams in capsules - about 6g or 6 x 1g capsules) and 2g of omega 6, or omega 6 derivative oils, like evening primrose oil. What is the best type of acne treatment for me?
    Sweating:

Areas of the skin that sweat more profusely than average is more likely to develop acne. Hot and humid weather can make acne worse, especially in the tropic. Acne is more common and very severe in most cases for people living in the tropics.

Although inefficient face washing does not cause acne, soap and water will reduce the number of bacteria getting into the whiteheads and turning them black. Some evidence suggests that the lightly abrasive buffing pads may help.

Medications: There are a few, very few, medications that make acne worse. If your acne gets worse when you start a new medications consult your doctor for a substitute medication if at all possible. It can take months to recover from a full blown acne flair up.

Benzyl peroxide is an ingredient in most acne medicines that has been proven to help with mild to moderate cases of acne. The cheap ones are just as good as the expensive ones as long as they have benzyl peroxide in them.

The pustule that gets bigger and bigger with no head in sight may require a prescription strength antibiotic lotion like clindamycin or erythromycin. If cysts and scars begin to form then you may need to take antibiotics by mouth. They must be taken everyday and exactly as prescribed.
If you have an oily skin wash your face twice a day in warm salty water. This should leave your face oil free without aggravating the pimples like soap. The secret of keeping the skin clear is to keep it oil-free and clean. If you have a dry skin honey is a great remedy for acne and pimples because the honey kills bacteria. If you have a combination skin when you wash your face, use sugar to scrub it, at least once a day, for two weeks to rid yourself of acne.Try http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/ for more info.
you should try proactiv solution. it really helps alot!

I need safe, affordable treatment for acne scars. Does it exist?

I don't have extremely deep scars on my face, but they are noticeable and widespread around my face. Depending on the lighting/shadows of a room, they can be very noticeable to not so noticeable.

I have seen a dermatologist, and dumped a couple grand into micro-dermabrasion. I noticed mild results, but could not afford to keep them up. I try to do research, but it is so confusing. Chemical peels, acid peels, lasers, surgeries, home remedies, etc.

I don't want to do anything super serious with high risk of intensified scarring, or that has long recovery times. I also don't have tons of cash to waste on unreliable methods. Can anyone offer some suggestions, either from professional or personal experience?I need safe, affordable treatment for acne scars. Does it exist?
Retin-A helped diminish my shallow acne scars. Persistence is key %26amp; you must wear sunscreen because it makes skin more prone to sun burn.I need safe, affordable treatment for acne scars. Does it exist?
chemical peels work really well but there not cheep. how they work is a dermatologist puts consentrated sylcic acid on your face and at firt it burns but then they will put numbing cream on. during the next week your skin will ';shead'; off your top layer of skin, taking off most scars and revealing fresher skin. but if you do do this make sure you dont have anything importaint to go to because your face will be a bit red. if you want a cheeper remidy try ';scar zone';. you can get it at any drug store. my friend uses for her acne scars and it works pretty well. they even make a tretment made just for acne scars. only thing is is that it takes at least 5 months to start working. also you should use other acne treatments like scrubs and washes to prevent futher scaring. and never ever ever pick at your acnce. when choosing a ance wash/scrub i sugest you use one that has sylcic acid or Benzoyl Peroxide. i hope i answered your question.
    Glytone. Best. Stuff. Ever.

It cleared my skin in a week, and now, 4 months later, I still have crystal clear skin! It's not cheap, but it's worth it, and it works. It has dramatically gotten rid of my scarring as well.

You can buy it online, at a dermatologist's office who carries the line, or at a cosmedical spa. I found it through yahoo local by typing in glytone.

ps- the first week will be irritating (some burning and stinging) while your skin builds a tolerance for glycolic acid, but it's worth it.

I broke out at age 10. At 24 I went through accutane, which kept me clear for three years, and then broke out again. Glytone not only cleared my skin, but it changed it. It works. It's your face and it's worth it!!
I don't think there is much you can do. You can try a Jensen peel which makes your face peel. That helped me. Also, I know people can use laser, but that is more expensive. If your scars are not too bad, try lightening creams sold at cosmetic counters or drugstores.

How do you get rid of acne scars?

I don't actually have acne scars that are too visible, but you know how one's complexion is really good, and then you get like, pimples? Well that happened and now i've got one scar on my nose.

Acne is an internal problem that translates into skin inflammations and eruptions in the form of acne. This is why skin treatments are not the best solution for acne, but natural remedies can be. I would recommend eating lots of fruit and drinking lots of water.

However, It has been widely reported that ';apple-fasting'; is the fastest natural way to cure acne. Many of my readers have reported their acne clearing up in just days while apple-fasting. One of my readers found so much success with one of the most popular apple-fast acne solutions that he wrote about his experiences below. Check it out!

What are natural ways to treat acne that i can use EVERYDAY?

my skin becomes used to chemicals %26amp; then the medicine stops working and the pimples come back. what are some natural ways i can get rid of it that my skin wont get addicted to %26amp; i can use daily ? i know you're not supposed to use egg whites daily so i need things i can do every day. What are natural ways to treat acne that i can use EVERYDAY?
Tooth paste doesn't work for pimples, that's a myth.

But you can take a spoon full of water, then crush up a pill of aspirin or two, then put the powder of it in the water and mix it until it becomes a paste, then put that on your pimples. One of the chemicals in aspirin helps treat pimples... so yeah.

Or just use a nice face wash every night or two and eat healthy. What are natural ways to treat acne that i can use EVERYDAY?
I don't think you can use this everday but as a spot treatment I love to use toothpaste when I don't have the expensive stuff.

Also, look up recipes for home masks and stuff that are designed for your skin, like the oatmeals masks and stuff!!
try using lemon juice once daily it works great for me no more acne and the vitamin c in lemons is great for your face smells good too

Bio oil is made from something biological. Usually grains like corn, soy beans, or wheat. NO, it is not good for acne. Try some face cream for the acne. Good Luck.
yes, you get acne because you are already producing too much oil. Stay away from bio-oil!

i used to have a huge acne problem when i was in college. it got really bad during times of stress, like around exam times. i found that the major reason for my breakouts was stress and poor nutrition.

the best thing you can do to prevent acne, is to drink lots and lots of water. tap water is the best. it detoxifies your system. fruits also help a lot; especially citrus fruits.

don't go for soaps or cleansing agents that claim to get rid of your acne. they just dry up your skin. excess oils may cause acne but your skin still needs the oils. don't over wash either for the same reason.

i tried a lot of products from the internet because i was desperate for an acne-free face, since i was in college. the girls just didn't dig it. nothing worked as well and as fast as Acnezine.

here's the link to their site

i saw the effects in a week. i was so relieved that i found this product. it just turned my social life around. it not only cured the acne i had but also removed blemishes. i still use it during stressful times to prevent future breakouts. i highly recommend it
    Hi there,

I know of someone who have successfully remove the scars over and over again. His name is Chris. I have been using his products for years. One of his best product is how to remove the scars from the body. It has even been featured on a TV program. You might want to take a look:

    Hi!

It sounds like you have cystic acne. If that's the case, you will need something much stronger than products offered in drug stores.

I would suggest seeing your dr. and getting a referral to a dermatologist. You need to know exactly what type of acne you have so it can be treated effectively. Accutane is often used for severe, more cystic types of acne. It's results are usually permanent. I know a few people who've been prescribed Accutane and they now have beautiful, clear skin.

I hope this helps you out :)How do i get rid of acne that is under the skin?
Go to a doctor or dermatologist.

When I had adult acne the doctor told me to use products containing salicylic acid. I forgot to buy that at the store, so i dissolved an aspirin (salicylic acid) in water and used the water. It seemed to get rid of the acne. You could try that - I used a regular aspirin in about a tablespoon of water and dabbed it on the bad spots twice a day. It is really cheap. Try it, it might help you. Good luck.
Wash your face twice daily with soap. Don't use one of those lathering, soothing, etc soaps, as it will make your skin oily, and well, you know.

Don't over dry your face, as if you do, your pores will take revenge and produce the normal amount of oil + an extra kick (and well, you know...).

This is what I do, and I has no acne!
accutane, or they have other pills you can take. but the others don't work as well as accutane. it gets rid of most acne forever. topical stuff doesn't work for under the skin acne.
Try accutane. It worked for me and I haven't had an outbreak for over ten years. Also the article below is really helpful. Good luck.
Go to a dermatologist and get an oral anitbiotic or acctuane to clear it up.
the only way to get under the skin is to remove the skin.
    pop it

i use philosophy purity. its a cleanser, toner and moisturizer in one, my skin has never looked better
i use clean and clear, and it works really good. but if nothing is helping you,get and appointment with a dermatologist.
steam your face and use aveeno ultra calming face wash! i do this and all the stuff comes out

    clearpores
I have very sensitive skin and have to stay away from harsh products. I would go with a daily cleanser (with out without acne medication added), but make sure it has a toner in it or buy a toner seperately. Not only will toner control oil, but it will make your pores smaller so less oil and dirt build up over the course of the day.

Many people, including dermatologists, are finding that Retin-A, which is often used to treat wrinkles, acne, and skin discolorations, is quite effective for the treatment of acne scars as well.

If any of the above answers don't help, make sure you are washing your bed sheets regularly too. You'd be surprised of the dirt, grease, and oil that sticks on sheets after we've laid in them. It might help :)
Try proactiv. They have formula for body acne. It might be expensive but worth it.
    try phisoderm..
I heartily recommend ClearPores Body System.

The ClearPores body and face washes contain these two excellent ingredients, which are accompanied by the well-known Aloe Vera (to soothe the skin and help the healing process), Dandelion Root and Yellow Dock.

Natural ways to get rid of acne scarring on face?

The main thing is, it just takes time. Some people think Vitamin E capsules help, but I haven't ever seen results from that.

I would recommend using something with lemon in it: I use a gentle scrub 2-3 times a week, called Modern Friction (you can find it at Origins). It helps with any past damage, like scarring. I also use a serum from there called Modern Fusion. I can automatically see the scars lighter after I put that on. Try www.origins.com

Drinking water helps get rid of acne, as well as eating healthy, so as long as you are putting the right stuff into your body and often, it should help them go away.

By the way, don't get microdermabrasian or anything. It's really harmful and bad for your face as well as expensive. The stuff from Origins I recommended is all natural. They actually call that scrub (Modern Friction) ';nature's alternative to microdermabrasian.'; Good luck! :)Natural ways to get rid of acne scarring on face?
Acne Scar Removal is a complex problem. After an acne lesion has healed, generally you will see a red or hyperpigmented mark

on the skin. This is not a scar; simply the skin goes through its healing and remodeling process, which takes approximately 6-12 months.

Rememeber: only if the color change or skin defect is still present after 1 year you have a real scar.

There are different types of acne scars:Icepick, Rolling, boxcar.

You can see the pictures here:http://www.acne-removal-scar.net/differe鈥?/a>

Use Vitamin E to Reduce Scars

    * Buy vitamin E in oil or capsule form. If you choose capsule form, you will need a sterile pin as well as the capsule, to poke the capsule and expel some of th vitamin E oil.

    * Clean the scar or wound area very carefully. Vitamin E is not antibacterial or anti-fungal. If fungus or bacteria is on the area where the scar or wound is located, unless you clean it properly, the vitamin E oil may trap the bacteria and provide fertile breeding grounds for an infection.

    * Expel some oil onto a cotton swab. If you use the vitamin E capsule, poke the outer shell of the capsule and squeeze the oil onto the cotton swab. Be careful not to touch the oil directly with your hands, or to spill the oil on clothing or upholstery.

    * Dab the vitamin E oil on the scar or wound. Lightly coat the area with the vitamin E oil. Do not rub the oil in; you want to dab carefully.

    * Cover the area with a light layer of gauze if you are concerned about the vitamin E oil getting on fabric, in eyes, or on upholstery. Do not use a bandage over the vitamin E oil; this can trap bacteria or fungus as well.

    * Keep the vitamin E oil on the scar or wound for at least 4-5 hours before washing the area. Wash the area after 8 hours, to remove trapped bacteria or fungus.

    * Apply vitamin E to the scar at least once a day for a few weeks, or until the scar has healed. you may need to apply vitamin E oil for one to two months for best results.
The tanning bed helps with that and scars and stretch marks. I know that tanning isn't really natural but my dermatologist told me to do this very thing. The reason that it helps is b/c it darkens the skin and makes the problem areas less noticeable. Thanks for the thumbs down!!!!! Jamie-

What cleaners really get rid of acne?

I have used a lot of cleaners in the past and none of them seemed to worked. I do not want to spend a bunch of money though. Does anyone have any luck with get ridding of acne? What cleaners really get rid of acne?
i like Noxzema, but a good skin care routine is to use alcohol rub , then wash face, then lotion and sunscreen!i know acne is a horrible thing and stress, hormones and sweets can make it worseWhat cleaners really get rid of acne?
I would use the clinique acne kit, it has a cleaner, toner an dlotion. Its also tested by dermatologist. I found proactive not for me. I got mild acne, but It made it worse! Not just that it didnt even get rid of my acne. Proactive doesnt work for everybody, I would suggest buying the kit off ebay for cheap and seeing if it works, you can probably get one for like 10.00 bucks. besides enrolling into a program you have to cancel! I like clinique because its not too expensive its like 40.00 dollars for 3 things.

If you can't afford that I would go to the pharmacy side, and usually they have a acne section. All you need is a cleaners, toner, some cotton pads to put it on, and oil controlling lotion. Also I would get some makeup aswell. Look for water-based foundations, powders, and look for word matte, shine-free, oil free, never buy moisture infused or anti ageing it will make your acne break out more and you will get too much oil, clogged pores and break out. You can also look for a blotting tissue for the face to absorb excess oil off your makeup and buy a mattifying makeup base, this helps to get rid of any oil that builds under the foundation and keeps your face and makeup looking fresh. No 7 by boots does excellent and its cheap too. I bought mine for 7.00 dollars. You can find it at shoppers drug mart. Its made in the uk. But aside from all these things you can try. If you have stubborn pimples that won't go. Put some toothpaste on the zits that are big and they will disappear the next day! I used to do this in highschool, trust me it works. It doesn't burn or anything or leave marks.

    lol. well hope this helps.
The true answer is NONE OR ALL. Depending.

I am 15 years old and i just had my very first period a few weeks ago, so i am a fairly late bloomer. Both of my parents had really bad acne, so im pretty sure im screwed too. Right now, my acne isn't bad at all, just a couple zits around my nose and chin. So my question is, how long till i get the bad acne, or will i get it all?How many years till i get acne?
Well, I'm not a girl and i dont know about what is consider a late bloomer but as a guy i hit puberty early (mid 7th grade) I started to get acne when i was going into 8th grade. I would guess you have about another year. If you dont have it by the end of your freshman year i think its safe to say you wont get acne. How many years till i get acne?
well it depends on how you take care of your skin. if you like to eat a lot of sweets like other girls(and myself) then your likely to get acne. but if you wash your face regularly then you shouldn't get it. heredity can possibly come into effect then you may clear it up by getting medicine to put on it.
if your getting acne it will be when you pms so around like 3-5 days before your period

    good luck

    mine?

    love peace chicken grease:)
I believe acne is not a hereditary trait. It really depends on how clean you keep your face. If you want to play it safe, buy deep pore cleansers to clean out any dirt in your pores.
Most people get acne at about 14-15 but not everyone gets it,if your 15 and don't have it its likely you wont get it.
You might never get acne. Not everyone has gets it. I never had it and I'm 18. I get the occasional pimple but it's never full blown acne. So you might not get it!

How do i keep from getting acne on my forehead?

I have allot of acne on my forehead and i have tried different solutions but nothing seems to work. I also have long hair which covers my forehead which is probably the cause of it but i would really like to keep my long hair. Is there anything i can do without shaving my hair or anything like that? How do i keep from getting acne on my forehead?
There are numerous ways to cure acne. However due to the various causes of acne, what works for one person may not necessarily work for another. Finding there right acne free treatment can be frustrating and especially with so many treatments popping up nowadays only leads to more confusion.

Before we get into the treatment for today, lets look at acne for a little bit. Now acne is caused by over active sebaceous glands. The sebaceous gland is a hormone that produces an oil called sebum to protect he skin. However there are times when the sebaceous gland produce an excess amount of oil. When this occurs, the oil accumulates and get thick and sticky. This thick and sticky oil on the surface of the skin traps dirt and bacteria and clog the pores leading to acne.

    The Oil Cleansing Method

    What you will need:

    Warm Water

    Cold Water

    Clean Towels

    Castor Oil

    Olive Oil

The first thing you need to do is to wash your face gently to remove excess dirt and oils from the surface.

You will then need to warm a clean towel in warm water and apply it to your face for 3 minutes. Do the same thing with the cold water but this time for one minute.

Carry out both the warm water and cold water procedure about 3 times but always finish with cold and then pat dry with another clean towel.

Next mix a small amount of castor oil with a small amount of olive oil. A 50/50 ratio will do just fine. Apply the mixture to your skin and let it stay there for 30 minutes and then rinse with warm water. Pat dry with a clean towel and you are good to go.

This only one technique that can be used to get rid of acne. How do i keep from getting acne on my forehead?
You can keep your hair long, but you really need to get it off your forehead. Sorry, but it is the truth. Wash your face with gentle soap and water every night, don't leave makeup on, etc. Try a benzoyl peroxide cream (e.g. oxy lotion) once a day to start, and work up to 2-3 times a day if your skin tolerates it well. If your skin does NOT tolerate it, try salicylic acid because it is better for sensitive skin. Find the product with the LEASE inactive ingredients so that you have less of a chance of being allergic and/or sensitive to something in it.

Good luck! See a dermatologist if that doesn't improve it.
Simple i have long hair too. www.itechfeed.com has a great section on acne full of information and they have products and vitamins nd supplements. I took the pantolic acid SP? vitamin b, and then the PAC treatment they offer . It's similar to pro active but much much much more effective at least for me! hope this helps
Have you tried tea tree oil? It's not a ';normal'; acne medication, but it won't dry out your skin and can prevent breakouts from happening.
