Is it possible for acne to become immune against the acne medication if used to long?

I know that bacteria can become immune against antibiotics so I just wonderd because acne is caused by bacteria and other things. Is it possible for acne to become immune against the acne medication if used to long?
I don't think acne would become immune to it, or at least what I've seen. I also suggest other things you can do for acne:

Consider taking a shower both before you go to bed and as soon as you get up when you get a bad break out. I use Neutrogena's Deep Clean Scrub in the shower. Maybe even look for a clay mask you can put on and rinse off before bed. I put on Differin cream on my blemishes before bed.

Also remember to change your pillow case daily! It holds the oils from your face.

Remember to keep your oils from your hands and hair away from your face as much as possible.

Also, look for concealers that will cover blemishes but won't make them oilier. Both Clearasil and Neutrogena have a good concealer out.Is it possible for acne to become immune against the acne medication if used to long?
Yes, it can get immuned to the antibiotics you're taking. Just wash your face with clean warm water thoroughly to open up the pores, don't put soap, then wash with tap water or colder that you can tolerate to close the pores. Do it 3x a day and lessen it when the acne has reduced. Drink vitamins with ZINC to help your immune system fight bacteria. For follow up questions you can join pharmacy reviewer forum.

I hope this helps.
smartypants. finally someone realizes it!

but acne's not just caused by bacteria, its clogged pores, hair follicles and oil, along with bacteria. sometimes the more you use an antibacterial medication for bacteria, the more pimples you will get. it keeps building up. even by using tea tree oil too often, that can happen as well. its best to use a gentle product that does have astringent abilites and a bit antibacterial..just don't use it everyday for a long time. you need to switch things in skin care
YES...YES...YES!!!!!!

I use to buy every kind of acne medicine in the world.....use it for a time and it appear that there were no changes or improvements. After my (Hys) my face cleared up....so young or old....medicine do not help some people...I also think it can be a allegy because of the food that you eat.
Yeah it can (for the most part), if your on antibiotics. Its happened to me a few times, the dermatologist usually just prescribes a different antibiotic.
Try ';Clearasil'; ointment or liquid - it is quite good.

  • Is drinking 2 litres of water a day good for your skin and acne/teenage spots?

People are saying that water doesn't help your skin or your acne. Some american experts looked into it and said there was no evidence that water flushs out toxins.

Also, how many glasses of water would 2 litres be?Is drinking 2 litres of water a day good for your skin and acne/teenage spots?
Everyone reacts differently and enjoys varying degrees of benefits from drinking water. Personally when I drink water I notice my skin looks healthier.

Water in combination with a good skin care regime can help your acne but people make the mistake of thinking that drinking water on its own will be a miracle cure.

There's more information in the article below:Is drinking 2 litres of water a day good for your skin and acne/teenage spots?
A glass is 8 ounces. Figure it by dividing 8 into however many ounces are in a 2 litre bottle. It sounds like a lot to me, but I think we're supposed to have 8-10 glasses of water a day. 8 would be 64ounces. 10 would be 80 ounces. You can overdo the water, so be careful of that.

I think eating right, drinking the right amount, exercising regularly, and getting enough sleep is what I would do. Some things just have to run their course, and just come with the age you are.
personally through 10 years of sufferin from all kinds of spots , stress, teenage and hormonal, the only way i have discovered thru many expensive time wastin tretments is something called Blue light , Its beter than any treatment on the current market as it doesnt strip away oils, cause dryness etc, it antibacterial the lite kills bacteria at the deepest root possible stops spots b4 they come and heals scars (post acne). Water helps to flush out toxins but doesnt prevent acne in teenagers as its hormonal, kill the bacteria with blu light treatments
makes no diffrence how much water u drink water does not fulsh out toxins ..water is water no more no less your a teenager expect these thing to happen ..it's all about the hormones an excessive production of oils ..it will pass in time and if you don't wanna be scared don't pick at them let them go on their own
NO, its been scientifically proven by using identical twins, no matter how much water you drink, your body will only take what it needs...
It certainly helps me! I don't drink very much water but I have lots of spots. A couple of weeks ago I had a bad cold and I was drinking tonnes of water and my skin totally cleared up!
    Probably makes no difference.
it makes no difference, its just drinking alot of water
water is very helpful but it is not what you should depend on to clear your skin of acne however
water does your skin and also keeps you healthy so regardless of what you heard water is good for you:)
No evidence. If you have bad skin I don't think water would change that.
    yes

What color bikini would make my acne less noticable?

I am 14 years old and have an hourglass figure. I have some acne on my chest. What color bikini would make my acne less noticable? What color bikini would make my acne less noticable?
A bikini with any sort of pattern or detailing so people's eyes are drawn to that, and not your acne. I would stay away from red though. What color bikini would make my acne less noticable?
You didn't mention your skin coloring, what I would suggest is to choose a color close to your skin tone so the acne will not stand out at first glance. Or choose one that draws the eyes away from the neckline.

    Good Luck.
the color doesnt matter, its not going to make a difference, go get a tan first because acne is less noticeable on darker skin
OK, I will give you a couple of steps cuz I have the same problem.

    1. get a tan

    2. stay away from red, pink, orange, yellow, and black.

    3. white bikinis work best

    4. Also if the acne is on your chest, the I would go with a halter bikini.

    Good luck!
Any color, as long as theres a busy print on it. It doesn't have to be some crazy printed bikini, but some something striped, polka dotted, or maybe with some florals would draw all the attention to the actual bikini, and not the uncovered area of your chest.
Try a pattern of any color. Sun also helps to clear up acne on your body. You could also try to treat your acne by washing your chest every day and using products you would normaly use on your face. Good Luck!
When I was your age, I had terrible acne on my chest, and had the same problem. Clearasil with 10% benzoyl peroxide was the only thing that ever cleared it up. And the sun does help clear up your acne. The color won't matter. Go for a high neck halter top. You'll feel more confident.
a shade close to ur skin tone, not too dark or too light. pink peach, blue, orange
As per a report many anti-acne products are known to worsen rosacea symptoms. Medical experts strongly urge rosacea sufferers to stop using these products.

Rosacea is a common skin condition that affects many Americans, but it can also spread to the eyes and cause a constant gritty, burning sensation.

I have been in search a product that works on my skin, I finally found it on one of acne rosacea review site. I use ZENMED Skin Support System - Dry Skin, and I saw results in weeks!

I recommend to go for ZENMED Skin Support System - Dry Skin once. Cheers
forget the bikini and wear a burka (muslim dress).
Avoid green, since it is the opposite of red and will make your skin appear redder by proximity. Purple would probably be okay; otherwise, go with earth tones like browns. Browns with blue look great as well. There are also some bikini tops that are like halter tops, and the cut is higher, which would cover up any acne so you could get whatever color you want. Avoid a plunging neckline.
I agree with PV on this one. To be more specific on it though, I would say maybe a Hawaiian pattern.

I have lot of pimple and acne after 3 months changing to vegetarian food?

It is still lasting until now that is 4 months already. During this time, I still take vgetarian food (not meat). In the past, I sometimes had acnes but never pimple on forehead, chest, back. Now, not only acne but also pimple on those places. Someone said that my toxins are going out. But, I am worried how long this thing will be last. Do we have any treatment for it? Thanks.I have lot of pimple and acne after 3 months changing to vegetarian food?
What kind of vegetarian food are you eating?

If you are mainly eating processed foods (fake chicken, fake beef, fake lunch meat) this is probably why you are breaking out. Make more homemade foods, like dry beans, lentils, and brown rice. Also, eat more fruits and vegetables.

Visit this site for acne tips: http://juliakazan.blogspot.com/2008/07/g鈥?/a>I have lot of pimple and acne after 3 months changing to vegetarian food?
Every vegetarian I know does have skin problems. By switching to being a vegetarian, you are cutting out your body's #1 source of Vitamin B12 and are subjecting yourself to iron deficiency anemia. Being vegetarian does NOT mean you will be healthier.
its probally cause your now eating health so it may do that and if its doesnt help use proactive it works trust me.

What are good ways for treating acne?

I've used proactiv, skinID, and many other treatments. My acne just keeps coming back, and it's really bad. I'm using skinID right now and its not even working well. My skin's rather untoned and I break out a lot. I've used witch hazel also to tone my skin and it kind of sucks. Any acne treatments I should buy that you recommend, treatments that make my skin look healthier and more radiant, or just tips on how to prevent acne from spreading and getting worse? I use foundation on a daily basis. What are good ways for treating acne?
The first step to conquer your acne is by means of trying natural acne solutions. Include the following in your considerations:

    1. Supplements and Vitamins. Food supplements and some forms of vitamins are useful for treating acne and to your overall body health.

    2. Proper Diet. This is helpful in eradicating sugar that develops fats which are concealed by your sebaceous glands.

    3. Herbal Treatment. Herbs are the most common ingredients used in acne treatment products that are commercially sold. What are good ways for treating acne?
the more make-up you use the more you break out and then you use even more make-up to cover the break out... so if i were you get something natural... like bare minerals...or just don't put on face make-up unless you have to.. and when you wash your face.. get a washcloth and get it as hot as you can stand and press it on your face... do this like 2 to 3 times.. this will open up your pores... then wash your face with like a regular bar of soap.. just to get rid of the make-up... then you use a face wash that has little beads in it.(like the sandy stuff).. that will get rid of all the dead skin... it works for me... and i have no pimples...
    Hi,

I found one good blog on how to cure pimples and acne at home

    The following is the link,

Visit and try if you find anything interesting

    http://cureacneandpimples.blogspot.com/
    Hi

There are some specific methods that can help you to get rid of your acne.

check these helpful methods that helped me to cure my acne:

    Water

Drink plenty of water every day. Aim to drink at least two liters of still mineral water. If the skin becomes dehydrated, dead skin cells are not effectively shed, which can lead to blocked pores and further acne.

    Sunshine and fresh air

Sunshine stimulates the creation of vitamin D in the body - an essential vitamin for healthy skin. A little bit of fresh air and sunshine every day will also reduce the stress and increase oxygen to your skin. Even when it's overcast, the sun's rays reach us, so it's very good to take a light walk outside every day.

Reduce your intake of sugar and refined carbohydrates

Last research pointing the finger at diet - eating refined carbohydrates (white bread, pasta, rice, flour etc) and sugar leads to a surge in insulin and an insulin-like growth factor called IGF-1. This in turn leads to an excess of male hormones, which encourage the skin to excrete large amounts of sebum. This grease-like substance encourages the growth of bacteria responsible for acne.

Refined carbs/sugar = more insulin = more hormones = more sebum (oil) = more bacteria = more acne

    The bed sheets

Keep the bed sheets clean. Wash your pillow case on a regular schedule to reduce the transfer of your natural body oils.

    Wash your face

Wash your face just one time a day. Don't wash too many times , because that will cause only more production of oil on your skin. another option is to use very gentle cleansers for normal skin that don't dehydrate the skin and wash twice a day.

Anyhow, don't go out and buy those magical acne free in 24 hours products that you can find anywhere online, they just don't work and you will spend your money for nothing.

Why not? Well, because it takes time to cure acne and you will need at least one week to see any noticeable results. There is absolutely no way to cure your acne in 24 hours.

If you really want to cure your acne there are two recommended methods that should combined together (if you can afford it) for best results.

Firstly and more important in my opinion, you must learn how you should fix the internal problem that's causing your acne, not just masking the symptoms or getting relief.

There are only few good Ebooks and acne cure programs that can teach you exactly how to cure your acne from the inside.

Where medicine has failed them the authors have done their own research and found a way to overcome acne. In their programs they share their valuable knowledge with other acne sufferers. Anyhow, be very careful because many of them are pure crap with little value.

You can learn about the fasest system and one of the most popular guides that can help you to get rid of your acne from the inside here:

    http://www.squidoo.com/Acne-Free-In-3-Da鈥?/a>

The second thing that you need to do is to get good acne skin product that will be suitable for your skin.

There are many acne skin care products available in the market right now and it's not easy to choose the product that will give you the best results.

When choosing your product make sure to check that you get at least 2 months full guarantee. Some of the big names in the industry are:

ClearPores, Acuzine, Acnezine, Proactiv, Vilante and some others.

Check this website for useful information and tips about the top acne skin care products today:

    http://www.my-acne-solution.info

Don't give up, acne is something that can be cure, good luck...
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

Well good luck and best wishes.
